Michael Geis, President/CEO

The Geis Group is led by Michael Geis, CFRE, FAHP, who is recognized as a Fellow in the fundraising industry. Geis has devoted most of his career to helping health care organizations transform initiatives with average results into fundraising initiatives that attract record funding. He has also worked with numerous non-profit foundations and organizations seeking to reinvigorate their endowment-building efforts or launch large-scale capital campaigns.

 

Geis' team of experts includes a creative design and marketing specialist; charitable estate planning attorney; physician; copywriter; grant writer; and web designer that share his passion for providing customized solutions to help clients gain maximum results.


 

Marla Grose, Associate Director

After working as a television reporter and news anchor for more than five years, Marla Grose brings a professional and unique skill set to The Geis Group. Her extensive writing and public speaking experience enable her to offer clients innovative ways to publicize campaigns and identify solutions that help organizations effectively produce results.

Grose currently serves as the capital campaign manager for Goodwill Industries, Inc. in Omaha, as well as the project manager at Mosaic for the Nebraska expansion projects in Norfolk, Grand Island and York. She is also working on a development audit for Tabitha Health Care Systems as well as the Mary Lanning HealthCare Foundation.

Grose is no stranger to working under deadlines. As a result, she is able to help clients determine the most effective way to prioritize and communicate their goals. Grose also understands the importance of developing and fostering strong relationships that reach beyond the length of your campaign to donors, staff and volunteers.

 

Grose received her Journalism degree from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. She currently lives in Omaha with her husband and enjoys being active in the community.

 

 

Jack Crowley, Senior Consultant

Jack Crowley brings more than 20 years of experience working with non-profit organizations, including serving as the first executive director for the Central Community College Foundation. In his 20 years as foundation leader, assets grew from $100,000 to more than $6,400,000.

 

Crowley has been active in business and economic development on a local, regional and statewide basis. He has also worked tirelessly to stimulate the economy of Hastings, Neb. and surrounding communities. His specialties include campaign management, cultivation and solicitation of major gifts, as well as fostering strong interpersonal relationships with donors, volunteers and staff.

 

Crowley has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Nebraska in Kearney and a Masters degree from Ohio State University. Jack and his wife, Judy, have four grown children and twelve grandchildren.

 

 

Roger Jones, Senior Consultant

With more than 40 years of experience in sales, marketing, management and development, Roger Jones brings a dynamic skill set to The Geis Group.

 

Throughout his career, Jones has served as Vice President for Development and Campus Director for the University of Nebraska Foundation at Kearney and has also developed sales and marketing initiatives for a variety of retail businesses including The Lee Company. He his wife, Rita, also owned an antique shop in Minden, Neb. for nearly 20 years.

 

Jones has served in a variety of political roles including Mayor, County Coordinator, Campaign Treasurer and City Councilman. He has also served on the Board of Directors for several civic organizations including the Minden Chamber of Commerce; South Platte United Chamber of Commerce; Minden Country Club; UNK Alumni Association; Kearney State College Foundation and the Kearney Area Chamber of Commerce.

 

Jones earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Nebraska - Kearney and also completed several graduate courses in education administration at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln. He and his wife, Rita, reside in Minden, Neb.
