Michael Geis, President and Founder, CFRE, FAHP, FCEP
The Geis Group is led by Michael Geis, CFRE, FAHP, FCEP an industry leader and veteran who is recognized as a Fellow in the fundraising industry, a distinction limited to less than 100 professionals worldwide.
Geis is a "specialist" in relationship-oriented fund raising and national consultant on charitable gift planning, capacity building and transformational gifts. He is particularly skillful in structuring "blended" gifts involving current and future gift components enabling donors to achieve philanthropic endeavors beyond their ability to imagine.
He approaches his work with a "warrior spirit" and "servant heart" and asks the same of his employees. His company was founded on the principle that services would be customized instead of standardized, realizing that no client is at the same spot in the fund development continuum. This approach enables his team to quickly discern what elements of their development program are working while giving proven guidance to areas underachieving their potential. His promise is to help his clients embrace ambitious but realistic goals that put them on a path to record-breaking performance.
Geis has devoted his career to helping numerous nonprofit organizations transform routine fund raising activities with average results into fundraising initiatives that attract record funding. He has also worked with numerous non-profit foundations and organizations seeking to reinvigorate their endowment-building efforts. His company's ability to "walk both sides of the street" in terms of securing large scale major gifts while simultaneously procuring significant planned gifts clearly differentiates them from other companies proposing to offer similar services.
Geis’ team includes seasoned campaign managers, charitable estate planning specialists, business and fiscal strategists and prospecting software expert.
Ginny Geis, Production Manager
Ginny manages logistics associated with scheduling, travel, and invoicing, personnel, payroll and contract management. This involves managing service details relating to clients widely dispersed in rural and metropolitan communities located within a six state region.
Ginny brings a playful spirit to our company culture which stems from her many years as an early childhood educator. She manages the central office and is often the voice you hear when calling our main number.
She received her Bachelor of Arts in Education from the University of Nebraska -Kearney. Her favorite role is mother and grandmother to three children and six grandchildren.
Lloyd Probasco, Senior Consultant
When Lloyd Probasco joined The Geis Group team in 2013, he brought more than 40 years of fundraising experience with him. His professional development positions include Concordia College in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Lutheran Family Services in Omaha, Nebraska and Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod Foundation among others. Probasco also has extensive gift planning capabilities, which brings a unique skill set to the Geis Group team.
Probasco has served for a number of local and regional boards and organizations including the Board of Directors for Concordia University Foundation, Board of Regents with Concordia College, Alabama, Downtown Omaha Lions Club, Seward County Extension Board, and the Nebraska Community Leadership Network Board, where he was also a trainer and facilitator. He is also very active within his church.
Probasco has been honored with many awards for his professional and volunteer service. Most recently, he received the Spirit of Giving Award from the National Association of Lutheran Development Executives in 2012. Lloyd and his wife Ruth reside in Lincoln, Nebraska. The couple has been married 50 years; they have 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Robert Campbell, Senior Consultant
After serving as Director of the Madonna Foundation in Lincoln for 15 years, Bob Campbell joined the Geis Group team in 2012. Campbell not only brings his fundraising skills to the team, he also brings more than 40 years in management experience, serving as President, CEO and Chairman of the Board for Miller & Paine, INC. His development and management experience bring a truly distinctive skill set to the Geis Group team.
Campbell has been active with dozens of civic and business associations over the years at the local and state level including, the Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital, Downtown Lincoln Association, and Lincoln Public Schools Foundation as well as the Stuhr Museum at the state level. Bob has also served on the Norwest Bank Community Board, Vistar Bank, and Lincoln Bank East boards.
A graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Campbell also served 10 years with the Nebraska Air National Guard with the rank of Captain. He and his wife Candace enjoy being active in the community of Lincoln and volunteering for the LPS Backpack Program. The couple has three children and 7 grandchildren.
Cindy Schroeder – Assay Systems Expert
Cindy joins the Geis Group after serving more than 28 years as the Chief Financial Officer for Mosaic, a large not-for-profit based in Omaha, Nebraska. Prior to her work at Mosaic, she became a Certified Public Accountant and worked in public accounting for 5 years. Schroeder brings her executive and financial expertise, not-for-profit management and Board experience to her work with the Geis Group.
Schroeder’s duties entail synthesizing all Assay related batches including incorporating wealth intelligence from commercial sources. She assists the President in Assay presentations and managing the Systems Manual essential for software management.
Schroeder currently serves on the Ronald McDonald House Charities Board in Nebraska. She graduated from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln. She and her husband George live in Valley, Nebraska and enjoy spending time with their six grandchildren.
Great fundraisers use their time and energy wisely with individuals having the greatest propensity to give the greatest amount in the shortest amount of time.
